India announces retaliatory tariffs on US products up to 120%.
The Indian Ministry of Finance issued an announcement on the evening of the 15th, deciding to impose tariffs on 28 kinds of US printing products from June 16. In response to the US decision to end India’s GSP trade status.
The 28 kinds of products include walnut chickpeas, lentils, boric acid and diagnostic agents imported from the United States, with the largest increases in tariffs on walnut products, from 30 percent to 120 percent, and on chickpeas, from 30 percent to 70 percent.
